About Us

Pierce Austin Architects is a Vail-based Architecture and Interior Design firm responsible for much of Vail’s growth and redevelopment over the past thirty years. Founded in 1978, Pierce Austin Architects is a team of talented designers dedicated to Vail and to the Vail Valley’s preservation and modernization. Although PA has completed several projects outside of Vail, most of the firm’s work is concentrated in eastern Eagle County. The close proximity to which we both work and live has resulted in established relationships with The Town of Vail and a reputation for quality within the valley. PA has provided architectural services for many of Vail’s recognizable landmarks, including the Vail Gymnastics Facility, Ford Park Tennis Center, Landmark Condominiums and Commercial renovation, 288 Bridge Street (Rucksack Building), Nine Vail Road Condominiums, the Lifthouse Condominiums, Village Center Condominiums, the Alpenrose building, and Gore Creek Plaza and Rams-Horn Lodge Condominiums in Vail Village. PA has just recently completed the architectural design of Elevation a new condominium building in Lionshead.

PA uses the latest technology to provide state of the art design documentation. Our office is equipped with a 1000 Terabyte Windows server and 8 Pentium CAD Stations. Designers use AutoCAD 2012 and Revit Architecture 2012.

Revit is AutoDesk’s 3-D Building Information Modeling (BIM) program that allows PA to boost our design quality and dramatically exceed client expectations through improved design intent communication. By catching these early, in the design phases rather than construction phases, costly construction delays can be avoided. The most direct client benefit of using Revit is its ability to communicate design intent. With the 3d capability of Revit the Owner can view any space from any vantage point and know what it’s going to look like before it’s ever built.

PA has a large conference room with high visibility display monitors, ideal for project meetings. When it’s not convenient to meet in person, PA uses GoToMeeting.com to facilitate web-conferencing. GoToMeeting enables parties to meet over the telephone at their home or office computer and view information presented on any user’s screen.
